Imperatives...

I had a tough time with the conjugation for Imperative (imperativo) verbs and Imperative Affirmative (imperativo afirmativo) verbs.

Imperativo verbs are verbs that give an order, it can be either affirmative like "Open the door" or negative "Don't open the door".To my understanding the former is called "imperativo afirmativo" and the latter "imperativo".

OK, now to use the verb we need to conjugate it to the correct form. Lets look at the normal conjugation rules taking a regular "AR" verb as an example.

El verbo "Comprar"

Present tense Imperative Imperative Affirmative
tú compras no compres compra
Ud. compra no compre compre
vosotros compráis no compréis comprad
Uds. compran no compren compren

In the case of a regular "ER" verb
El verbo "Comer"

Present tense Imperative Imperative Affirmative
tú comes no compas come
Ud. come no coma coma
vosotros coméis no comáis comed
Uds. comen no coman coman

And finally a regular "IR" verb
El verbo "Vivir"

Present tense Imperative Imperative Affirmative
tú vives no vivas vive
Ud. vive no viva viva
vosotros vivís no viváis vivid
Uds. viven no vivan vivan

Based on my observation I have framed the below table showing the suffix changes that occur for each of the 4 forms in both negative and affirmative.

 ARERIR
tú (imperativo) as-eses-ases-as
tú (I.A)as-aes-ees-e
Ud.(imperativo)a-ee-ae-a
Ud.(I.A)a-ee-ae-a
vosotros (imperativo)áis-éiséis-áisís-áis
vosotros (I.A)adedid
Uds.(imperativo)an-enen-anen-an
Uds.(I.A)an-enen-anen-an

By imperativo I mean the negative verbs like "no hables"(Don't talk) and I.A are Imperativo Afirmativo verbs used for giving commans like "habla" (Talk).
