How can I miss the Indian Bull fight when I write articles in spanish. It is an amazing sport called "Jallikattu" where an agitated bull ornamented with garlands is set to run in open space.Their horns are colored in red, pink and other bright colors and mango leaves are hung round their necks. It is held in the villages of Tamil Nadu (a state in south India) on the eve of a four day festival called "Pongal" that falls usually on January 15th.

The horns of the adorned bulls are made wet before the event and the animal is rubbed down with oil making it more difficult to hold onto. The bulls are drugged with steroids and are sometimes made to drink alcohol in order to enrage them preparing for the event. The villagers completely unarmed try to tame the bull by controlling its horns. The villagers will cover and hold the bull’s hump and run along with the animal.
